I’m so glad you’re here!

This little business is a dream come true for me. 

My name is Katie and I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. For me, there’s something about photos; about capturing a moment in time that has always felt somehow magical and held a special place in my heart. I remember planning our wedding and feeling as though the photos were just the most important thing to me.

A little bit about me.

I grew up in a very organised home – one where I was very loved and my creativity was encouraged. Mum used to always cut the heads off people in photos – it was a running joke in our family! I am still a very organised person and somewhat of a perfectionist. I have the most amazing husband in the whole world, Trevor. We met as teenagers working at McDonald’s. We loved to travel, spend time with our dogs and go to the footy on our weekends.

We always wanted a family. And after a bit of a difficult time, we finally had our first baby. Poppy is and always has been my greatest gift. I truly believe she was brought to heal me and to help me. She has taught me so much and taught me how to be a mother and a better person. 

After having Poppy, the meaning and importance of having photos became even clearer to me. I have often sat pouring over my baby book that my mum put so much into and being so grateful she did. I want to give that gift to my children – and despite what my husband might think – I love the idea of my children being grown with their own children and having albums full of beautiful photos and memories of us, together.

We had our son, Leo, in December 2019. Having a baby at this time has shown me even more how precious our time is, and how much things can change in such a short time. I am forever so happy for the 71,590 (ahhh) photos on my phone, and the countless “home movies” that we easily have access to. I am most grateful for the beautiful and messy moments we have had captured by some wonderful photographers. And while I may feel as though I wasn’t happy with my hair, my weight, or something about the way I looked, the most important thing is that I am IN these photos. We will have that forever.

I love lists, homewares, craft, good TV series, indoor plants, dried flowers and my beautiful family. Friendships are so important to me and I love to bake a great cookie. I have always felt a need to be creative and I crave organisation in every aspect of my life.

I feel inviting a photographer into your life and into your family is an investment. But when it works, it leaves you and your family with an irreplaceable record of this time in your lives - a record that you can all treasure for years to come.

My aim is to help you capture those memories and those moments and give you a gift you will always love and always treasure. Whether it be some shots of your little family, a babe in your belly, welcoming a new little love into your tribe, or the special connection you share with your soulmate or wider family. I am here to capture that love and light for you.
